Tips On Achieving Good Branding

What is Branding? Why do I need good branding? Do I get more customers with good branding? What time is lunch? Don’t worry, I will answer all your questions in this post, just bear with me. For now, here is a small list of tips on achieving good branding,

  • Have recognizable branding
  • Present your brand with a personality
  • Be consistent with your brand
  • Keep your branding simple, nice color ways and smooth edges

In this post, I will share the Tips On Achieving Good Branding. Oh, and lunch is at 12:30.

Recognizable Branding

When you watch a commercial for Old Spice, you recognize it immediately. How? The deep voice of the narrator, the far-out direction of the whole commercial and the jingle at the end. If I saw any of those things by themselves I could recognize it to be affiliated with Old Spice. When your branding is consistent and easy to recognize, it helps people remember you when it comes time to purchasing or inquiring about a purchase.

 Brand Personality

Have you ever been so bored on twitter that you just tweet at Wendy’s? Well standing strong at 1,900,000 Million followers, you wouldn’t expect them to respond to you considering the thousands of interactions the get per hour. But when Wendy’s responds to your tweet very casually and you have a back and forth conversation for 5 minutes you start to think, hey, Wendy’s is pretty cool they talked to me on twitter and next time 12:30 hits you might just go and have some Wendys. The way you present your brand’s personality on Social Media and through your interactions show your customer about the kind of company that you are and bring in new customers.

Brand Consistency

Unless you decide to change your brand into something that is more effective based on measured consumer response, consistency is key. If you keep a pattern of inconsistent branding your potential customers will be confused when they search for your brand and you will loose potential customers. Inconsistent branding also makes it hard for your brand to establish a long-term brand. Every time someone sees the same branding style they will know who it belongs to.

Keep It Simple

Would you purchase from a company who’s website and logo look like they were created in 2005? Yeah, I wouldn’t either. When creating your logo and website keep it simple. Stick to easy navigation and not too many colors. Clean curves and moves around everything. A great example of a simple website can be found here.

In Conclusion

Creating a brand that is considered good isn’t easy if you are going into it blindly, you need to know what you are doing and if you don’t you will end up as another generic one of the crowd. Stand out. Be consistent. Have a fun voice. And keep it simple! You do not need a million things to make your brand look nice. Just remember these Tips On Achieving Good Branding and you will be set!
